Blended Learning

Blended learning (aka "hybrid" learning) is an approach to education that combines online curriculum and opportunities for interaction online with traditional face-to-face classroom methods. It requires the physical presence of both teacher and student, with some elements of student control over time, place, path, or pace.

At DSIS, all students grades 7-12 participate in blended learning, with more options available to students in high school grades 9-12. In this way, students have more flexibility over their schedules, and similar to a college environment, will spend less time in a classroom and more timing working independently or collaboratively with other students.

Blended course offerings are available in all core subjects as well as numerous elective options.

DSIS is hard at work developing 100% online/virtual instruction opportunities for the 2020-2021 school year in all grades!!
